  4. WinFit is a shareware Non Linear Least Squares fitting program for windows 3.1.

  8. * Easy to use windows interface.
  9. * The program uses Levenberg-Marquardt fitting method.
  10. * Reads the data from space or tab delimited ASCII file.
  11. * Data are X,Y and an optional Y-error. WinFit can read multiple column files.
  12. * The data can be plotted with log axis options. 
  13. * There are some built in functions and the a user-defined function:
  14.     ** Multiple of Gaussinas.
  15.     ** Multiple exponentials.
  16.     ** Multiple power-lows.
  17.     ** Polynoms.
  18.     ** misc. functions. (the author uses).
  19. * The program can generate weights that improve fitting performance for some problems.
  20. * This version can read up to 5000 data points and fit up to 10 parameters.
  21. * The program provides a REPORT file and the plot can be copied to the clipboard.
